Satori Experience

The Bliss I Felt…

All of us seek joy as energy to propel life forward. Generations before us found joy and contentment with ease. However, nowadays, joy has become an outcome attached to desire fulfillment, be it small or large. Eventually, as the attachment to desires takes hold, the joy we experience doesn’t last long. It keeps wavering among many factors.

Many of us try to find reasons to be happy. Since nothing in life is permanent, reasons keep changing, and as a result, joy often gives way to feelings of depression and increased stress levels, which can also manifest in our physical and mental health.

In my life journey, I explored spiritual methods like pranayama and others. Along the way, I was fortunate to receive precious knowledge and deep meditative experiences from Gurus at different stages. However, I never had the opportunity to receive initiation from a Guru regarding a specific spiritual practice, despite hearing about the power of such initiations.

As a blessing, I had the chance to attend a Satori meditation led by Sri Guru Anandha Agasta. Satori was a completely new concept to me, and I was curious to learn more about it. The two-day course promised a departure from conventional, lengthy practices or lectures.

Sri Guru Anandha Agasta, affectionately known as “Master” by all, presided over the course with a divine, blissful smile. The course featured a well-organized sequence of physically active and passive techniques, each associated with one of the chakras. There was ample time and a supportive community of karma yogis to observe my inner self throughout the course, along with the energies that prevailed, all under the watchful gaze of Sri Guru.

With each session, I noticed something unique. While engaging in these practices, I remained connected to the outer world and my senses, while simultaneously being aware of my inner witness. It felt like I was delving into my deep inner being and the surface levels of my mind in a continuous cycle. This churning process cleared many unknown emotional patterns and brought the witnessing awareness within me to a conscious level.

Sri Guru’s blissful smile and his enlightened presence initiated this entire process, guiding all of us along this path of refinement. The energy field during those two days was so stable that none of us paid any attention to the passing time. Many meditators reported different experiences: some felt a sense of freedom and rebirth, some had advanced meditative experiences, while others found relief from stress, among other things. Sri Guru listened to each individual with undivided attention.

As the course neared its end, Sri Guru shared something that captured my attention. In his divine voice, he said, “When you look at each of us, look beyond our physical appearances and try to feel the Guru Shakthi as your Guru. This Guru Shakthi is your guiding energy here. Find the Guru in an energy form beyond physical existence.”

These divine words instantly expanded my awareness. During that session, I felt my chakras vibrating with ascending energy, and with closed eyes, I experienced profound stillness within. The bliss I felt for an extended period was beyond words. As I opened my eyes and looked at Sri Guru, there were no thoughts, no emotions, no words—just a smile filled with vibrancy for no apparent reason. I embraced him, feeling the Guru Shakthi in oneness, and I felt like I was finally home.

These golden words from Sri Guru had always been within me, but only as an underlying experience without my conscious awareness. However, in his presence, during that session, his words became a profound realization with my heightened awareness. This experience illustrated to me the pivotal role of a Guru and their initiations in awakening the witness within a disciple.

Months after the Satori sessions, I still feel the same inner bliss. During my daily meditation at home, I sense an expansion in this state. I feel a deeper connection with Mother Nature and a sense of being at home.

With immense gratitude to Sri Guru, who initiated this state within me, I pray that more souls receive this blessing for their enlightenment.
